World: Barley intervention stocks to 13/08/06 give a theoretical net position of 1.49 million t
Ukraine continues to export barley in August with about 725,000 t so far of which about 660,000 t to Saudi Arabia compared to July total exports of 344,000 t, the AgriNews Feedgrain Report of August 17 said.
US weekly barley exports for 2006/07 (June/May) stood at 89,000 t (unchanged for the last week).
Intervention stocks to August 13th for 2006/07 campaign carry in 2.18 million t, sold/committed 685,000 t giving theoretical net position 1.49 million t (increase 9,000 t on a weekly basis). Intervention applications are still under offer 21,000 t.
EU replacement price calculation, based on €zero refund, stood at about US$144 FOB.
Black Sea, very nominal, values approach to US$120 FOB, to Morocco US$145 basis small ports, US$150 basis Casablanca. Saudi Arabia quoted level is about US$145 based on Black Sea execution.
